Three companies, not one network

We don’t own any datacentres. Web hosting and game servers run on capacity we lease from separate companies, in separate buildings, with no shared hardware between them. Here’s exactly who runs what.

01

Who runs what

  • Web hosting Leased from Brixly, United Kingdom. Web hosting runs on capacity we lease from Brixly in the UK.
  • Game servers Leased from OVH, Limburg, Germany. Game servers for players in Europe run on capacity we lease from OVH in Limburg.
  • Game servers Leased from ReliableSite, New York. Game servers for players in the US run on capacity we lease from ReliableSite in New York.

Why this page is short

We used to publish detailed facility specifications here — fire suppression systems, power redundancy ratings, certification numbers. We took them down. They described generic datacentre features, not anything we’d actually confirmed with Brixly, OVH or ReliableSite, and publishing specifics we hadn’t verified was exactly the kind of overreach we say we don’t do. If you need facility detail for a compliance requirement, ask us and we’ll go and get it from the provider rather than guess.

02

Why web hosting and game servers aren’t on the same box

A

Different jobs need different providers

Brixly is set up for shared web hosting: cPanel, LiteSpeed, mail, the standard shape of a site. OVH and ReliableSite are set up for the kind of dedicated, high-throughput boxes a game server needs. Running both products off one provider would mean compromising on one of them.

B

What that means for you

Your web hosting and your game server, if you have both, are physically unrelated: different buildings, different companies, different network paths. Support and billing are ours and are the same regardless of which product you’re on. The hardware underneath isn’t, and we won’t imply otherwise.
